Digital marketing specialists, Disq, asked AGI Media to produce a cost-effective, 100% recyclable packaging solution for an interactive CD ROM aimed at raising awareness of recycling garden waste to 14,000 Leeds households.
Working closely with Disq, AGI devised an innovative ‘Community Compost’ Little Book to house the educational CD ROM, using materials that were fully bio-degradable and also of a significantly high quality to enable a four colour printing process.
Being able to track and measure the effectiveness of the campaign was key for LOGS, so Disq developed a fully trackable multi-media CD, which was initially door-dropped to 1,000 Leeds households. There was a 10% response from environmentally conscious consumers who responded to an online offer within the CD ROM content. The result far exceeded LOGS’ expectations of a 1% response rate.
Ben Blackburn, Local Communications Project Manager for WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme), who funded the LOGS project, said that the CD ROM package “was very impressive”.
