Charity Little Book gives great advice
It’s pretty grim out there right now for many charities. Spending cuts and a slow economy means there’s less money to go round whilst the demand for services that charities provide, continues to grow.
Almost 163,000 charities registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales in 2012 (details) – that’s a lot of charities. Each must work hard with innovative, eye-catching marketing ideas to attract funding and deliver information in this crammed sector.
Little Book has provided the solution for a number of charities including Guide Dog For the Blind, Autism West Midlands, FEAST India, and many more. We were delighted to welcome Weaver Vale Housing Trust back to Little Book. The Trust is a Large Scale Voluntary Transfer (LSVT) housing association, formed in July 2002. It is committed to transforming neighbourhoods, homes and services to improve the quality of life for its customers.
‘Moving On..’ Little Book gives great advice
Weaver Vale had great success with their first standard credit card sized-Little Book designed to support homeless women. They turned to Little Book again but this time chose the larger standard pocket-sized version to help clients from Cotswold House and Malvern House; two houses that provide support and shelter to the homeless.
The Little Book called ‘Moving On…’ is designed to give guidance and useful tips to clients who are moving into their own accommodation. The front panel is packed with positive advice on preparing for the move. Flip over and the back section focusses on the moving day itself, along with useful contact phone numbers and websites. There’s even a handy budget sheet to make sure that finances are in order! ‘Moving On…’ provides clients with a really practical, handy guide that they can keep and refer to again and again.
If you’re thinking of using Little Book for your charity, remember:
- its funky format means Little Book stands out from other charity brochures or flyers.
- its compact lay-out makes it a great choice for including a lot of information in a neat, pocket-size.
- the Multi-Page Cover Little Book has the added option of perforation, meaning you can include important donation forms for fundraising.
- and its clever, book-like design means people don’t throw it away, but keep it to read again and again.
