Little Book needs your help!
It’s almost three years since AJS labels took over sole rights to produce Little Book and it’s time for a new look. We’re currently working with a top website design agency to produce an exciting new site for Little Book. It’s going to be easier to navigate and will show case our very latest products and clients. But we have a conundrum…
Should we keep the Little Book bubbles?
The bubbles have been very much part of the Little Book branding for a number of years. They started life as orange bubbles with the global media design company AGI, but were changed to red by AJS labels to tie in with their own red and blue logo.
So, should they stay or should they go?
Please scroll down this page and have a look. It would be great to get your thoughts on the Little Book bubbles!
Thanks
I like the bubbles and I do feel they should stay.
Reasons being that they are bright, bouncy and who does not like bubbles in their life.
Loose the bubbles, time for a change.
I think when rebranding it is important to have a little continuity so how about keeping the bubbles as that bit of continuity, but changing them slightly – like putting words inside them?
Keep the bubbles. You can do quite a lot with them – keep them as they are, put pictures in them etc
Don’t feel that the bubbles have any relevance to the product or add to the sites appeal.
Hi,
I think you should re-brand. Freshen up, I work for a design company as a graphic designer!
Great idea for the vote!
Yes – keep them! They’re part of your corporate image, add a bit of visual fun for ‘us’ and you can play with them by changing the colours, making them bounce about and having stuff popping out of them.
I like them but I dont think there is a direct association with the brand so a change shouldn’t be feared
Change is good! The bubbles don’t really relate to the product, and I think an even better brand/campaign could be developed to truly reflect the great product Littlebook is…
Well what’s the alternative???
Hard to make a desicion otherwise!
Don’t burst the bubble! We want your bubbles, your bright and shiny bubbles to make you stand out form the crowd. Little and large, those bubbles burst through the landscape like the old AJS motorbikes of yore…
Lose them, not memorable. I didn’t even know it was part of your formal branding, if I’m honest. If it has symbolic meaning or fits with your new brand keep it, but I don’t think it is as recognisable as other elements that make up the brand feel as a whole.
I like the bubbles but it’s time for a new look!
I do not see the significance of the bubbles. May be by refreshing the look of Littlebooks might entice some new business.
Keep them.
Personally I like the bubbles, effervescent, happy, joyful, an expression of new life, new ideas, creativity, fresh ideas bubbling up from a creative team. Plenty of scope for overlaying with fresh ideas, indeed the bubbles lay the foundation for this expectancy.
I’m always concerned that to much tinkering with a companies corporate image can be detrimental to people’s perception of the company. It always begs the question why? is there something wrong? My experience of corporate image changing is that it generally it produces bad press.
My gut feeling is that the bubbles aren’t relevant to the brand and the redesign would be a good opportunity to remove them and come up with something that reflects the product and its strengths.
If you wanted to make a connection with the AJS site then using similar colours and fonts across both sites might provide a better reference.
Time for a change I think but they were good while they lasted!
Lose the bubbles- it’s time for a new, fresh look and a different colour scheme!
As an ex head of marketing I was alsways getting tired of the brand images I controlled and I kept refreshing my portfolio, re positioning and re branding.
When I moved up to General Management I started to realise the marketeers get tired of images when the rest of the world are just getting to recognise them!
Therefore too much change is counter productive-pick the right design and stick with it would be my advice.
Question is though -do you have the right design ??
The website does look a bit dated and I am not sure of the red and black-the AJS web site is much fresher.
Bubbles I am less concerned with -I like all the things bubbles stand for champagne, success, effervescence, celebration and the colour -well not too long ago wasn’t “the futures bright the future’s ORANGE?
Difficult one though-Good Luck .
Remember the millions spent by the royal mail changing their logo only to have to change it back
